Konditori
KONDITORI (noun)
1. Traditional Swedish meeting place to enjoy friends over great coffee, fine baked goods and confections.
2. Where one goes for a coffee break
 
Cozy little coffee shop in Park Slope where I enjoyed the friendly baristas as much as my Americano sprinkled with cinnamon.

    This place looks great! But it has nothing in common with a Swedish Konditori. :) Konditori is an old fashioned word for café, which means that the places that call themselves konditoris are also old fashioned. If you do a picture search on the word Sturekatten (Stockholm's oldest konditori) you will see what I mean... It's two completely different worlds. :)
